A GPX track contains geographic information and can be created with a smartphone, handheld GPS device or a GPS watch. To create a GPS track you need to track/record your hike or mountaineering ascent – it is as simple as pressing the record button in smartphone app or on a GPS device. The good news is that if you are using an activity tracking app on your smartphone such as Endomondo, Runtastic, GaiaGPS, AllTrails etc. or a GPS watch you probably already have a bunch of GPS tracks. If you export them, you can easily publish these trails on Peak Pursuer platform with pictures, descriptions and more.
In the following we’ll refer you to guides that explain how to export GPS tracks from the most commonly used activity tracking apps and platforms. Note that Peak Pursuer supports only GPS tracks in GPX format (file extension should be .gpx). All platforms below allow you to export GPS tracks in GPX format.
